What to expect
Sacrament meeting
The first hour is for the whole congregation, families together. It includes hymns, prayers, the sacrament, and short talks by members of the ward. There's no paid clergy, so speakers change every week.
The sacrament
Young men pass bread and water down each row. It's a time for members to remember Jesus Christ and renew their covenants. Visitors are welcome to simply pass the tray along.
What to wear
Many people wear their Sunday best, but come as you are. You'll be welcome either way.
Children
Kids stay with their families during sacrament meeting. In the second hour, children ages 3–11 go to Primary and little ones 18 months to 3 go to nursery. A leader will walk you there.
Second hour
Adults go to Sunday School, then Relief Society or Elders Quorum. Youth have their own classes. You can sit in on anything, and no one will put you on the spot.
Can't make it in person?
A video stream of sacrament meeting is available on request. Ask a member of the bishopric, the Relief Society president, or the Elders Quorum president.
Want someone to meet you at the door?
Introduce yourself to anyone in the foyer. A member of the bishopric or the missionaries will be glad to help you find your way.
